Meet Rose the Corn Plant

Daria brought me a small glass jar with a crumbled up paper towel and a popcorn kernel in it a week ago. She wet the towel and crawled up on the counter and stuck it on the window sill "to sprout it, Mom." Our friend Cassie asked her to name it and they decided on "Rose". Rose is thriving and I think she will be going to a more permanent residence with some soil on Sunday.

I'm really loving the fact that Daria did this all herself. It was her idea, she put all the stuff together, and it worked out so she got positive feedback. Happy kids rock.
